When Grove City College needed to redo a football field that had become more like a swamp, they called on Eisler Landscapes to bid on the job. This is not surprising, considering that Eisler Landscapes has been working with the college since the 1940's, having landscaped various areas of the campus including the president's residence and a new mens' dormitory. Eisler worked with a soil scientist to solve the football field problem. The existing field was torn up and 3,900 linear feet of drainage installed. After two weeks drying time, the field was recrowned. Eisler incorporated soil amendments that included 1,100 tons of sand and 400 tons of compost before resodding the field. Eisler's ability to solve this problem is one of the many reasons why Eisler Landscapes and Grove City College have been partners for over a half century. |
